Did Anyone Think Of The Consequences Of The Destruction Of Nord Stream I and II?
Yesterday, on 8 February, Seamore Hirsch posted «How America Took Out The Nord Stream Pipeline» on his Substack Account..
A few weeks ago Scott Ritter was the guest of George Galloway on his Mother of All Talk Shows. In this interview he told Mr. Galloway that the Israeli spyware known as Pegasus was placed on Liz Truss’ private iPone supposedly by Russians, and revealed that she sent Antony Blinken a minute after the explosions: «It’s done!». George Galloway stated without hesitations that she had put a bullseye on the UK, and that there would be consequences at a later date.
Mr. Hirsch quoted an anonymous source and stated that the Danish Navy, the Swedish Navy were involved, and that the Norwegian Navy and Air Force were even more involved, and they used NATO’s excercise BALTOPS 22 as cover.
On the continental shelf within Norway’s economic borders there is a large and complex subsea infrastructure. This infrastructure consists of drilling- and production platforms for LNG and oil as well as pipelines for transportation to shore in various countries. It also consists of cables for import/export of electricity to and from several European countries.
I can hardly imagine the actions taken by the various participants in the destruction of the pipelines not having repercussions. This brings warfare to a whole new level, and at our doorstep.
This is not the first time we see this type of attack. Those of us who are old enough will remember the images of burning oil wells during the Gulf War thirty plus years ago. Of course Saddam Hussein was blamed for this sabotage, and I believed it because back then the United States was still the good guy in my mind.
In light of last summer’s events by the Danish island of Bornholm, it isn’t far fetched to imagine another culprit. The President of Iraq had nothing more to gain from the destruction of the infrastructure that was the source of Iraq’s revenues than Vladimir Putin had from ditto Russian infrastructure.
The US, on the other hand, wanted to cripple Iraq’s economy. This was glaringly obvious when the sanctions happened that lasted for more than a decade indirectly killing tens- if not hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens.
By the same token the US wants no prosperous relationship between Western European countries and Russia. The people in the district of criminals know that that will be the end of the uni-polar world they seek to maintain.
The same can be said about China’s Belt and Road Initiative. It too threatens the US hegemony.
As it stands right now Europe’s entire energy infrastructure has been made a target. When Russia is done de-Nazifying the Ukraine, what will happen then? I have read assertions that when the war in Ukraine is done, regardless of outcome, the war against Russia will only continue.
If Vladimir Putin is the crazed psychopath the media in NATO countries say he is (which anyone who has heard him speak knows he is not), it is not hard to imagine retaliatory measures with extreme prejudice. I repeat the question: Did any of the decision makers in the participating countries give that possibility a thought?
A diplomat of unknown origin once said: «If you’re not at the dinner table, you are on the menu.»
As always, feel free to post a comment below.
wasn't the destruction of oil wells by burning the oil in them something that occurred in Kuwait itself? Otherwise, G. Israhell's Newsletter makes good sense but I wanted to clarify that. In the article, does the author actually state where the burning oil wells were? It is an important issue. Also, the state propaganda apparatus was at a lesser degree of sophistication, in like, 2003 or whenever. As of now, there are only a few independent voices, such as Mr. Hersch. I would just like to clarify whether the oil wells were in Iraq or Kuwait. but even if in Iraq, Saddam, knowing he was finished, could have done that? Anyways, the world thanks Israhell for this great writing
